Ghiso

Born in Italy and coveted the world over, Ghisò is a name synonymous with class. From their inception in 1922 to today, they\'ve manufactured the most sophisticated games around. Whether battle boards or show pieces, Ghisò\'s style is striking: geometrical formations accented by hard lines and softly sweeping curves; a clean design aesthetic, both unique and timeless. The games are further enhanced by employing the finest exotic materials, including Makassar ebony, boxwood, snakeskin wood, fossil mammoth ivory, warthog tooth, Damascus silver, and pale gold. The hues have been chosen to complement each one another with the muted grace of a steel sword, so you can slay your opponents with style and sophistication.

How many poker chips do I need?

A good rule of thumb is between 60 and 100 chips per player in four different colors. The ratio for the different colors will be around 4/3/2/1 from your lowest denomination to your highest.

What is the difference between European and American chips?

European chips are often thinner and lighter than American “clay” chips and may come in rectangular as well as circular shapes.

"Poker is the game closest to the western conception of life, where life and thought are recognized as intimately combined, where free will prevails over philosophies of fate or of chance, where men are considered moral agents and where - at least in the short run - the important thing is not what happens but what people think happens."

Johnny Luckacs in 1963
